Christian "Chris" Kueng is a children's author, an
educator, and a visual artist.
He always had a deep desire to write, draw, and
create things since he was a child. He grew up
in Ontario, California, when there were orange
groves, grape vineyards, and dairies throughout
the Southland. His parents, Robert and Margrit
Kueng, came from Switzerland, and he is the
oldest of their four sons.
As a youngster, Chris loved going to school.
His favorite subjects were art and creative writing.
He has several university degrees (BFA, MA, and Ed.D.) In addition, he is a graduate from the Institute of Children's Literature.
He has been an educator in the public school system for over thirty years, teaching elementary school children and serving as an administrator.
Chris has four children and 8 grandchildren. He says the best title he has in the world is "Granddad". In Three Genie Brothers the characters of Brianna, JD, Morgan, and Blake are based on four members of his family. Caleb's Adventures with Granddad is a story he created with his own grandson, Caleb.
He lives in Ontario, California where he likes to spend his free time with his family and participating in his hobbies (gardening, archery, and genealogy). He also likes to travel when time permits.
